FAQs
What makes it a good photo?
Avoid blurry photos – the higher the clarity of the photo, the better. You can upload files as large as 20MB, so the better the picture the better the final product will turn out. We highly recommend photos in sunny or bright light (so we can catch details). Please make sure the picture has FULL face with ears included!
Is my photo good enough to use?
If you followed our photo guidelines, then yes your photo is very likely good enough to use. • Make sure the photo is taken in good lighting (outdoor daylight is best) • Try to take the photo at eye level • They don't need to be looking at the camera • Try to get a close up so we can see your unique features • Make sure the photo is not blurry • Make sure no features are out of frame - we can't add them if they aren't in the original photo We conduct a photo check for every new order we receive and will email you if we need a different one. But it's best to take matters into your own hands and ensure you upload the best photo you have. If we do need a new photo from you, this may lengthen your delivery time by a few days. Please note that if you refuse to provide a replacement after we have informed you that the original photo may not result in quality canvas art, then we cannot refund you. It's your responsibility to ensure that you are happy with the photo you provide. Note that it is the customer's responsibility to provide a high-quality photo and although we do review orders, it is not our responsibility to chase you for a better photo. Low-quality photos will not result in a high spec design that we show on site. All examples on our website were produced using high-quality photos.
Can you crop out the background for me?
YES! Please don't crop or edit your picture, leave it in ORIGINAL format for the best outcome. Just Upload it and leave the rest to us!
My photo uploaded sideways, will you edit it for me?
Absolutely! Don't worry if your photo is uploaded horizontally, we will edit, rotate, and crop the image. It's best if you upload the original picture and not the cropped out version, so we can make sure it looks good on the finished product.
Can you add or change things for me?
Sorry, but we can't offer to add things like accessories. We may be able to make small changes to improve the quality of the canvas, but adding and taking things away we cannot do.
How do you produce your designs?
We do not paint from scratch. We are a digital design studio and we use a range of proprietary photo editing techniques, professional photo retouching as well as a number of complex brush strokes and blending processes to turn your original photo into a portrait.
Can I see the items before they are printed?
Our artists will have your completed artwork ready for you to approve in around 24 to 48 hours
Can I edit my order after it was made?
All changes must be made to order within 2 hours after the time which it was placed. Keep in mind that we send your uploads to our artists directly after your purchase! Any adjustment after 2 hours is not promised. If you would like to cancel an order, you can do so in the first 2 hours. Anything thereafter will require a $6 art fee because we've already started working on your order. If you send us an email but don’t receive a reply within 30 minutes, don’t worry. We’ll get back to you and honor the time stamp on the email.
Will my finished canvas look like the image on my computer screen?
Every device screen displays images differently. Unless you have a profiled monitor, it may not display accurate colors. Because of this reason, it may differ from what the final printed product looks like.
How should I clean my canvas?
Your canvas will resist small scratches, smudges, and fingerprints that occur during normal indoor display. We recommend using a feather duster or a soft, dry cloth if your canvas requires light cleaning. If done very carefully, you can also use a damp soft cloth, but only on the face of the canvas.
Where can I hang my canvas print?
We recommend hanging your canvas in a dry, indoor area only away from direct sunlight. We treat each canvas with a special coating to improve its UV and water resistance, but prolonged exposure to sunlight and humidity will still damage your artwork.
How long does production take?
With social distancing in place at all our printers production time is currently up to 7 business days
What is your returns policy?
If your not happy with your items, we offer a No Risk, No Hassle 100% Refund Guarantee for the first 30 days of receiving your order! If you receive your item and aren’t completely happy with it then please just send us an email along with your order ID number and information about the product you’d like to exchange or refund. Your order will arrive 1-2 weeks. They are shipped via USPS Priority within the continental US.

The rest of the world

Shipping times vary but are typically 2-3 weeks for Europe and most of the world. For faster delivery, you can choose DHL Express at checkout with a shipping time of 3-5 days. (Not available for P.O. Box or APO addresses).

Times are updated based on the volume and Holiday traffic. Although we make every effort to adhere to these guidelines, due to the nature of the business and reliance on shipping companies, we can not guarantee the delivery by a specific date.

We are so confident in the services we provide that we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee for 1 year after your purchase. If you are unhappy with the artwork we produce we will try to improve the artwork until you are satisfied. If you are still not satisfied after 3 sets of revisions we will happily offer you a full refund on the artwork that you have ordered. Once you have approved the artwork, we will deem that you are satisfied with the results. And at this point, we will provide no refunds or revisions. Draft artworks that we provide are watermarked. We will provide you with the final, unwatermarked artwork files only once you have approved the artwork. Some of the reasons that may create the impression of sub-par work may include:
  • Low quality or resolution photographs and images submitted to us.
  • Insufficient or inaccurate information provided when the order was placed.
Hence, it is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate information for our artists to work with. If a customer requests additional work that is outside the scope of what they have ordered (e.g. additional characters, or background images) these must be paid for inline with our normal listed pricing. Pet Fable reserves the right to deny revisions and refunds if they are an abuse of our terms of service. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. There are certain situations where refunds are not granted:
  • Any item not in its original condition is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • The refund claim is issued no later than 1 year from placing the order.
  • Gift cards are non-refundable.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
